Range from Mercury Avator 35e
With the battery options of the 4.5 kW electric motor from Mercury, you have full flexibility. It mainly depends on how heavy your boat is and at what speed you want to travel. Here are a few examples from reality with a 1.2 ton boat:
→ At full load, two of the 2.3 kWh batteries (4.6 kWh) from the Mercury Avator 35e last for about an hour and the boat reaches a maximum speed of 12 km/h. The range was 12 km.
→ At 1/2 power, you can enjoy the driving pleasure with the 20e and a battery for 2 hours on the water with a cruising speed of 10 km/h and a range of 20 km.
→ Those who love more leisurely tours on the water can go much further with less power. At 1/4 power, the battery lasts for about 4 hours and the boat reaches about 7 km/h. So a total range of 28 km with just one battery charge.
Those who plan significantly longer tours on the water can also expand the battery later or order more than one battery directly. A maximum of 4 batteries with a total capacity of 9.2 kWh is possible. The installation is then carried out via the Avator Power Center.
App for the Mercury Avator 35e
You can download the Mercury Marine App for free and use the basic features like the tutorial library, or contact your preferred dealer (hopefully us) through the app for expert assistance.
If your outboard is equipped with a Mercury SmartCraft® Connect module, a wireless connection can be established to the app to enable additional features like a GPS map, visualized range estimates and more. (worth it!)
Mercury Avator 35e Display
The standard integrated GPS moduleshows you in real time the speed and estimated distanceuntil the battery is “empty”. Of course, other important information such as battery status, power consumption, warnings and the remaining time can be seen.
The clear color display has 4 brightness levels and can thus be read well in a lot of sun (highest level) or in the dark (lowest level). In the tiller version, the display is permanently integrated into the outboard. For console boats, there are two options: an adjustable pedestal display or a sleek, flush-fitting version.
Mercury Avator 35 Charger & Charging Time
The Mercury Avator charger has built-in voltage and current monitoring – so ensures safe and effective charging. The Avator 7.5e outboard is supplied together with a 110 W charger, which can be conveniently stored in a carrying bag. The 1,000 watt battery is thus fully charged in 9 hours. (Provided the battery was empty)
If you are looking for faster charging times, SIe can also switch to a faster charger. All you need to charge is a normal household outlet. On the charger are colored LED lights for the current status (error messages)
